A man was shot and seriously wounded late this afternoon in Bergen-Lafayette.
According to radio reports, the shooting took place at approximately 5:45 in the vicinity of Forrest Street and Martin Luther King Drive.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was taken into surgery at Jersey City Medical Center at approximately 6:10 p.m.
No further information was made available.
