In a case of apparent domestic violence, a Bergen-Lafayette woman is fighting for her life this morning at Jersey City Medical Center.
According to radio reports, the victim’s 14-year-old daughter heard her parents arguing before the shooting.
Police who responded to the scene indicated that the woman had a faint pulse and that they were rendering aid. She was subsequently rushed to the hospital.
The shooting took place in the victim’s apartment at 340 Bergen Avenue.
The shooter, who is reportedly homeless and lives in his car, drove away. He reportedly called his daughter to apologize for the shooting.
