Crime Scene Tape

Authorities are investigating two stabbings yesterday morning that left a man dead and a woman in the hospital.

According to  Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, at  6:42 a.m. yesterday, police responded to a report of an aggravated assault at 196 Clinton Avenue. When they arrived, they found a 22-year-old woman with a serious stab wound. The woman was taken by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center where she remains in stable condition.

At approximately 10 a.m., police received a report of an injured person at 186 McAdoo Avenue. Responding officers found the lifeless body of a man – later identified as Jason Khusial, 21, of Jersey City – with multiple apparent stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:14 a.m.

Khusial’s “cause and manner of death” are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. A preliminary investigation determined Khusial had also been injured during the Clinton Avenue incident.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are continuing to investigate.

No arrests have been made at this time. Suarez is asking that anyone with information contact the Office of the Hudson County Prosecutor at 201-915-1345 or leave an anonymous tip here.  All information will be kept confidential.
