Two Men Shot in Bergen-Lafayette

Two Men Shot in Bergen-Lafayette

Two men were reportedly shot today in Bergen-Lafayette.

The shooting took place at about 2:30 p.m in the vicinity of Woodward and Grand Streets.

According to radio transmissions, two men suffering gunshot wounds were said to have arrived at Jersey City Medical Center a short time after.

The shooting appears to continue a surge in gun violence both locally and in cities across the country.

The extent of any increase in crime in Jersey City is unknown.

Without explanation, the Fulop administration stopped publishing monthly CompStat data in June of 2019.

New York City residents, in contrast, have access to fresh crime data, including shootings, from weekly CompStat reports posted on the city’s website.
