Two Jersey City youths have been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in Union City last week.

According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, a preliminary investigation has determined that last Tuesday five juveniles were involved in an altercation leading to the stabbing of two young people, one fatally.

The melee took place in the area of 40th Street and New York Avenue in Union City shortly before 6:24 p.m. The two injured youths were found at 40th Street and Bergenline Avenue.

One of the injured youths, Allen Flores, 15, of Union City, was taken to Christ Hospital in Jersey City and pronounced dead a short time later.

The second wounded juvenile, a 16-year-old Union City male, was treated at Jersey City Medical Center for serious injuries and has since been released. 

A 15-year-old Jersey City female and a 15-year-old Jersey City male have been charged as juveniles with Armed Robbery; Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery; Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (stick); and Possession of a Weapon (stick) for an Unlawful Purpose.

A 16-year-old Union City male is charged as a juvenile with Armed Robbery; Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery; Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (stick); and Possession of a Weapon (stick) for an Unlawful Purpose. 

A 16-year-old Union City male is charged as a juvenile with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (knife); Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose (knife); and Possession of a Weapon (knife) while Committing a CDS Offense.

Juvenile matters are confidential and the HCPO says it will not be releasing additional information at this time.
