This weekend, Jersey City is packed with a wide variety of events. Not only is there the 10th annual Jersey City Jazz Festival, but also the 12th annual Jersey City Ward Tour, Access JC Fridays, and the Mizuho Americas Open golf event. Plus, there’s the Jersey City Night Market, theater, and more.  

Access JC Fridays

This weekend is the June edition of “Jersey City’s Free Quarterly Arts Festival,” Access JC Fridays. It “focuses on inclusion and accessibility. Participating venues will present work from artists with disabilities and/or work that celebrates disability in any of its many forms. Many of our venue partners have made their physical space accessible to all, including large print materials, ASL interpretation, Captioning, and sensory tours.”

ART ON TAP at 902 Brewing Co.

White Eagle Hall Presents Badflower

This Friday night, Nashville-based group Badflower will be performing at White Eagle Hall. They “siphon stress, sleeplessness, sex, sadness, mania, pain, and truth into revelatory alternative anthems.”

Present: Perfect by Jan Mocek (Czech Republic)

Part of the 2023 Voices International Theatre Festival, this play from the Czech Republic will be followed by a talkback. “Set in a museum of our collective memory, the play’s design invites the audience to explore a collection featuring valuable artifacts that commemorate alternative versions of key historical moments.”

SJC Trees & Trash Action Campaign

“Join Sustainable JC’s Trees & Trash Action Campaign (TTAC) and be a part of a community-wide effort to beautify our city and protect the environment! Our SJC TTAC volunteers will be helping to clean and green our neighborhoods in partnership with the Greater Neighborhood Alliance (GNA).”

Jersey City Jazz Festival

Head to Exchange Place this weekend for the 10th annual Jersey City Jazz Festival, featuring more than 100 musicians, food trucks, and waterfront views.

in the Arts & Recreation

Join the Jersey City Free Public Library for a screening of this documentary celebrating the founder of Educational Arts Team & Camp Liberty, Carmine Tabone.

Jersey City Night Market

This Saturday, the Jersey City Night Market is back, and right by City Hall. This event will have food vendors, music, shopping from makers and artists, and craft beer. 

J.M. Clifford at Fox & Crow

On Saturday night, bluegrass musician J.M. Clifford will be performing at Fox & Crow. 

Mizuho Americas Open

“Overlooking the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan skyline, Liberty National Golf Club boasts some of the most scenic views in golf. This will mark the first time that LNGC will host an LPGA event, having previously hosted PGA TOUR Playoff events and the 2017 Presidents Cup.”

12th Annual Jersey City Ward Tour

This 15-mile bike tour will visit all six of Jersey City’s wards before finishing at the Jersey City Jazz Festival.

Plays Music of Bruce Springsteen
