Earth Day is this weekend, and Jersey City has many ways to celebrate, like a festival at the Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery, a JCFPL park cleanup, and a Jersey City Parks Coalition celebration. Plus, this weekend there’s the Jersey City Marathon & Half Marathon, an international darts competition, live music, comedy, and more. 

Cross-Border Darts Challenge: USA vs. Canada

This weekend, White Eagle Hall will be hosting “the best darts players on the continent for the inaugural Cross-Border Darts Challenge, presented by Championship Darts Corporation,” and known as “the biggest party in sports!” 

The Laugh Tour Comedy Club at Dorrian’s Jersey City

The Laugh Tour Comedy Club has four shows at Dorrian’s Red Hand this weekend, “featuring comedians from The Tonight Show, Netflix, America’s Got Talent, TikTok and more!”

Celebrate Mother Earth Festival at the

JCPC Earth Day Celebration at Lincoln Park

Join the Jersey City Parks Coalition for this annual Earth Day event featuring a drawing instruction workshop, scavenger hunts, and birdwatching. 

JC Baby Fair in Downtown Jersey City

The JCFamilies Baby Fair is this Saturday and will have resources and information for new and expecting parents. Attendees must register in advance. 

J.W. Wakeman P.S. #6 Fundraiser at 902 Brewing Co.

Crescendo: 2023 NJCU BFA Exhibition – Opening Reception

New Jersey City University’s BFA exhibition opens this Saturday and features “a diverse output of artworks from clay sculpture to digital illustration.” Attendees must register in advance.

DMB Tribute by Jared Jones Band at 902 Brewing Co.

The Jared Jones Band will be playing a Dave Matthews Band tribute show at 902 Brewing Co. this Saturday. “The setlist will be sure to feature classic fan favorites along with deep tracks and Dave solo tunes,” and there will be a special DMB-themed beer.  

All My Sons at Fox & Crow

Jersey City Marathon & Half Marathon

This Sunday is the Jersey City Marathon & Half Marathon, and while there is a waitlist to participate as a runner, there are still open volunteer spots.   

NJCU Choral Concert

“Featuring the NJCU Concert Chorale under the direction of Dr. Robert Prowse, the program will center around the Requiem of John Rutter. Rutter’s inspiring and uplifting music is a cross between classical and popular styles, on traditional Latin and English texts.”
