Memorial Day Weekend is here, and there’s plenty of Jersey City events all weekend long. On Sunday, Fleet Week comes to Liberty State Park, and on Saturday the Community Awareness Series presents Jazz for Malcom X at the library. Plus, there’s comedy, poetry, and more.

White Eagle Hall Presents The Record Company

This Saturday night, The Record Company will be performing at White Eagle Hall. “Their music is influenced by blues musicians like John Lee Hooker, early punk bands likeThe Stooges, and rock bands like The Rolling Stones.” 

James Gibbs III at Fox & Crow

Head to Fox & Crow on Saturday to see James Gibbs III, “James performs many different styles of music including: Straight Ahead Jazz, Classical, Smooth Jazz, Urban Contemporary Music, Latin Jazz, R&B, Gospel, Rock, Blues and many other styles. With his unique style of play, he is guaranteed to keep the audience’s attention, singing, dancing, and vibing to his music.” The $10 cover charge goes directly to the band. 

Liberty State Park Fleet Week Event

This Sunday, the New York Fleet Week festivities will be coming to Liberty State Park. This event will have helicopter demos, search and rescue demos, and the Navy band. 

Indigo Tie Dye Shibori For Beginners

Beyoncé Laser Show at Liberty Science Center

“Who run the world? Rock out to Queen Bey’s music like never before at the Beyoncé Laser Show, set to stunning high-tech lasers in the country’s biggest planetarium.” This event is not recommended for children under five years of age. Liberty Science Center will be open for special Monday hours on Memorial Day.
