This weekend, Jersey City has a wide range of events to keep everyone entertained. It’s the last weekend to see “A Chorus Line” at NJCU, Hamilton Park’s Easter Egg Hunt will be on Saturday, and White Eagle Hall will be having Emo Night Karaoke with a live backing band on Friday. Plus, there’s comedy, a disco dance fundraiser, and more. 

“A Chorus Line” at NJCU

It’s the last weekend to catch New Jersey City University and the Joffrey Ballet School’s production of “A Chorus Line,” a show where “Discomfort opens into revelation, confession leads to redemption, and within the bright, outwardly homogenous chorus, the audience begins to see each dancer’s individuality.” 

Emo Night Karaoke at White Eagle Hall

Live out your rockstar dreams at Emo Night at White Eagle all this Friday, featuring a live backing band. 

Renee Maskin & Tom Barrett at Fox & Crow

Asbury Park’s Renee Maskin and Jersey City’s own Tom Barrett will be playing at Fox & Crow this Friday night. 

One Night Only at Corgi Spirits

This event at Corgi Spirits will have DJs and be a “one stop shop for eats, beats and drinks to toast the start of Spring.” 

Bharathanatyam Dance Classes at Five Corners

This all-ages class at the library will be taught by Mathy Pillai, a guru who “has been teaching bharathanatyam at the Hindu Temple Society of North America for 15 years.” Attendees must register for this event. 

The Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association Easter Egg Hunt

This free Easter Egg Hunt event is for children ages 2-6, with times set for each age group. Attendees should bring their own collection baskets. There will also be a Bunny Photo Op.  

Attention Lab at Monira

“ATTENTION LABS are community-based, youth-oriented workshops that focus on the power, beauty, and potential of human attention,” that were developed in response to the idea that “We live in an “Attention Economy,” a trillion-dollar industry that seeks to monetize our every waking moment and “frack” human eyeballs for commercial gain.”

“Sheboyhood” at The Barrow Mansion

This solo show from Craig Zehms is “A funny, poignant account of a childhood and adolescence in Sheboygan, WI, and discovering how to chart one’s own path.”

Kennedy Dancers Presents: Saturday Night Disco Fundraiser

This disco-themed fundraiser will have a costume contest and a dance contest, and refreshments are included in the price of entry. This event is in support of the programming and classes of the Kennedy Dancers.

The Sacred Comedy Show

“Part-comedy show and part-meditation circle, your self-care just got a whole lot funnier! Celebrate the Spring Equinox with light group meditation and standup performances featuring Angela Sharp, Kristin Dietz and Kayt Hester.” This alcohol-free event will have complimentary tea. 

Jack Breslin Trio at Fox & Crow

Jersey City-based jazz musician Jack Breslin will be performing at Fox & Crow this Saturday night. 

Trailblazers Volunteer Day at Liberty State Park

“Join the LSP Trailblazers to help improve our trails by removing invasive weeds and vines from the Richard J. Sullivan Natural Area and scraping invasive spotted lanternfly egg cases from trees.” This event is not recommended for children under 10 years of age. 

Pop Evil Skeletons Tour at White Eagle Hall

Pop Evil is, “A crowd-pleasing band unafraid to embrace the heaviest and most melodic ends of the spectrum,” jumping, “between fist-pumping anthems and timeless power ballads.” Attendees must be 16 years of age or older.
