This weekend, Jersey City is getting geared up for the holidays with a special Thanksgiving craft afternoon at the Jersey City Free Public Library and a holiday pomanders workshop at Liberty State Park. There’s also three performances of “Macbeth” from St. Peter’s Prep Dramatics, and it’s the last Riverview Farmers Market of the season. Plus there’s live music,comedy, and more.

The Feelies at White Eagle Hall

The Feelies, the influential New Jersey rock band, will be playing at White Eagle Hall this Friday night. Attendees must be 18 years of age or older.

The Jersey City Comedy Jam will be at 902 Brewing Co. this Friday night. 

St. Peter’s Prep Dramatics Presents “Macbeth”

This weekend, there are three opportunities to catch St. Peter’s Prep Dramatics’ presentation of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth.”

D.I.S.P.L.A.Y.E.D by Heidi Latsky

D.I.S.P.L.A.Y.E.D is an interactive performance art exhibit that visitors can experience this weekend at Jersey City Theater Center. “With a large cast augmented by community performers, the JCTC will be transformed and will create a welcoming, safe space for both viewers and viewed.” The venue is accessible, there will be audio description, and there will be ASL interpreters on Sunday.

Holiday Pomanders Workshop at Liberty State Park

The Friends of Liberty State Park is co-sponsoring this Liberty State Park Nature Center event where attendees will “learn about the history of this holiday tradition and create your own beautiful fruit pomander to take home.” Supplies will be provided. This event is not recommended for children under six years of age. 

902 Brewing Co. Presents a Special Performance by Far Trio

Far Trio is “Bringing you a needed dose of Earthy Fusion and Soul Drenched Rock and Roll” this weekend with a performance at 902 Brewing Co.

ALEOproduction and White Eagle Hall Present The Last Waltz

This weekend, the 9th annual Last Waltz show will be at White Eagle Hall. Happening each year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, this show “is filled with a colorful group of Hudson County’s finest musicians, performing alongside “the Band”, and featuring the MVP Horns. This show is a ‘must see’ for fans of The Last Waltz movie, of The Band, and of music performed with love and passion.”

Help the LSP Trailblazers this Sunday as they work on trail maintenance in the he Richard J. Sullivan Natural Area. This event is not recommended for children under 10 years of age.
