A Newark man was arrested yesterday in connection with a deadly shooting in Bergen-Lafayette.

According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, Dahmar Robinson, 22, has been charged with Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and Receiving Stolen Property in connection with the fatal June shooting of Kyle Howard, 34, of Newark. 

On Sunday, June 12, at approximately 11:15 p.m., police responded to a report of shots fired in the area Forrest Street and Martin Luther King Drive. Upon arriving, they found Howard, who had been shot. Howard was taken to Jersey City Medical Center in a private vehicle and died the following day.

Two codefendants, Quadre Domnie, 22, of Jersey City, and Jekhi Wade, 19, of North Plainfield, were arrested on July 25, 2022 and are being held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility. 

Robinson was arrested at the Morris County Correctional Facility, where he was being held on unrelated charges.
