Early this evening, shots were fired from a car in the vicinity of Triangle Park in Greenville leading to a chase and car crash.
According to a witness, at 7:13 p.m. a man in the rear of a car shot at pedestrians at the corner of Danforth Avenue and Old Bergen Road. Eight to ten shell casings were subsequently recovered from the scene.
Four men ranging in age from 16 to 24 were apprehended after a crash and a chase on foot near the Turnpike Exit 14b interchange. Two guns were found in their car in plain view.
A police car responding to the incident struck another car near Caven Point Road and Morris Pesin Drive.
No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting. Two officers, however, suffered what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.
