According to multiple sources, gunshots were fired by an as yet unknown person in Downtown Jersey City last night. The shooting appears to have taken place in or around the Powerhouse Arts District, which lies south of the Shoprite shopping center, between Marin and Washington Boulevards.

RLS media reported a shots-fired incident in the 30’s block of Provost Street just before 2:40 a.m.

Jersey City Times has asked the mayor’s spokesperson to comment on additional details that remain unconfirmed.
