A person was reportedly shot in the face last night in Bergen-Lafayette.
According to radio transmissions, the shooting took place at 27 Grant Ave. at approximately 10:00 p.m. A man reportedly knocked on the door, attempted to push his way in, and shot a person inside in the mouth. The man then ran from the scene. Shell casings were recovered at the location.
The condition of the victim is unknown.
Jersey City’s spokeswoman did not immediately respond to an email seeking confirmation of the shooting.
