Several news outlets are reporting the arrest yesterday in Greenville of Rapper Tsu Surf on federal RICO charges.

According to reporting by Lisa Evers at Fox5 New York, Surf was taken into custody at approximately 1:30 pm by the U.S. Marshall’s service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force. on federal charges.

Tsu Surf, also known as Tsunami Surf, was, apparently, picked up at a home on Wilkinson Avenue. He was there with a woman and the two reportedly attempted to leave through a back door. Seeing a large law enforcement presence, the two went back into the house where they remained “barricaded” inside for approximately an hour.

Surf peacefully surrendered after hostage negotiators were called in. He was taken to Essex County Jail and is expected to appear before a judge today.

Allhiphop.com reported that using a burner phone, Surf anticipated his arrest tweeting “I prolly never step on a stage again….God has a way of Humbling Us…I can’t even act like I ever felt like my story would turn out like this…..”

Surf’s arrest was unrelated to a reported shootout yesterday on Wilkinson Avenue .
