One person was wounded early this evening in a shooting near Triangle Park in Greenville.
Police responded at approximately 7 p.m. One individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was listed as stable shortly afterwards.
On August 4, 21 year-old Alshaquir Duval was shot and killed in the park. There have been no arrests in the shooting to date.
Triangle Park lies at the intersection of Cator Avenue, Old Bergen Road and Rose Avenue. A $500,000 renovation of the park was completed in June.
At the June 30 dedication, Monica Shaw, director of the Triangle Park Community Center, said “The reopening of Ferris Triangle Park brings a new revival, one filled with hope and promise that the stigma of the old park stays in history.”
