A 43-year-old Jersey City man has been arrested and charged in a fatal shooting in Bergen-Lafayette.
According to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, members of the office’s homicide unit arrested Eddie Webb in connection with the death of 46-year-old Khaliq Lockett on Christmas day.
The shooting took place in the area of Communipaw Avenue and Crescent Avenue.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 6:04 p.m. and found Lockett with apparent gunshot wounds to the torso.
Locket was taken to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Webb was arrested on December 30 at his place of employment in Jersey City.
He is charged with Murder; Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
He was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.
