A Jersey City man has pleaded guilty in connection with the 2019 death of a Bayonne resident.

Anthony Shuler, 31, of Jersey City, pleaded guilty in the death of Diamon Robinson, 26, of Bayonne, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.

Robinson was fatally shot at approximately 5:00 a.m. on September 22, 2019, at 484 John. F. Kennedy Blvd. in Jersey City. The police had been called to the scene on the report of a potential domestic violence incident, according to Suarez’s office.

Shuler pleaded guilty to one count of Aggravated Manslaughter. The State will be recommending a sentence of 25 years in New Jersey State Prison (subject to the No Early Release Act).

Sentencing is scheduled for December 2, 2022 before the Judge Mitzy Galis-Menendez.
