A Hudson County jury has convicted a Jersey City man in connection with a 2019 killing in Greenville.

According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, yesterday the jury convicted Darius Bolden, 36, for his role in the shooting death of Jason Dunbar, 35.

Bolden was found guilty of Murder, Possession of a Weapon, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. The verdict was delivered before Judge Mitzy Galis-Menendez, following a two-week trial.

On August 27, 2019, at 11:45 p.m., police were called to the area of 169 Fulton Avenue after a report of shots fired. Police found Dunbar with multiple gunshot wounds. Dunbar — also of Jersey City — was taken to to Jersey City Medical Center and died the following day.

The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds and manner of death to be homicide.

Sentencing is scheduled for August 12, 2022.
