A Greenville man was arrested yesterday and charged with possession of a gun and cannabis.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Gang Task Force arrested Farrakhan Williams, 43, of Jersey City, following a months-long investigation.
Williams was arrested at his residence in the early yesterday morning by the Gang Task Force with assistance from the Hudson County Regional SWAT Team as they executed a court-authorized search warrant of Williams’ Danforth Avenue apartment.
The search resulted in the seizure of a handgun and over 270 grams of suspected marijuana.
Williams is charged with Possession of a Weapon While Committing a CDS Offense, Possession with the Intent to Distribute (marijuana), Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Certain Persons Not to Possess a Weapon.
Williams was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.
