Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting last night in Greenville.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, Tyreef Robinson, 34, of Jersey City was shot dead in the vicinity of 2 Bergen Avenue.
At approximately 10:16 p.m, police officers responding to a report of shots fired, found Robinson with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this case. No arrests have been made at this time.
