Catalina Aranguren, founder of Walk-Bye by Argia Photography, will present the photography of thirty children, most of them local, in her latest showcase, “New Frames of Reference”. The exhibition will run at City Hall in downtown Jersey City from February 4th until February 28th.
The show is the fifth installation in Aranguren’s series of outdoor art and her first outdoor / indoor exhibit in her quest to provide much-needed art to the community during the covid-19 pandemic. She issued the Kids’ Photo Challenge to her own three children and their friends via social media after the first couple of months of the pandemic lockdown to give them a fun learning activity. Contestants had to agree that all photos would be their own original work, taken on the same day of each challenge.
