The Regional Medical Examiner in Newark has ruled that a 40-year-old Bergen-Lafayette man found dead in his apartment by the police on April 27th during an early morning welfare check, died from multiple blunt force trauma to the torso. The case has been ruled a homicide. 

Authorities discovered the lifeless victim, Benjamin Stone, in his apartment at 44 Storms Avenue, between Howard Place and Monticello. 

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this case. No arrests have been made at this time.
