In a tweet at 10:20 p.m Wednesday night, The Hudson County Prosecutor made the following announcement:
“The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and JCPD are investigating a fatal shooting in which one person was killed in the area of Triangle Park at Old Bergen Road and Rose Avenue.”
The recently renovated Triangle Park lies within the Greenville neighborhood. This would mark the 14th homicide in this year and continue a spike in gun deaths in major urban areas that began last year.
