The new Berry Lane skate park can trace its origins to the DIY grass-roots work of a few intrepid boarders and neighborhood activists.

Bill Benzon
Bill Benzon is an independent scholar, writer, photographer, and musician. He plays trumpet and flugelhorn and has shared the stage with Dizzy Gillespie and B.B. King. He's cofounder of the Bergen Arches Preservation Coalition and a Senior Advisor to Jersey City's Green Villain. He's on the scientific advisory board for the Institute of Music and Neurologic Function in New York City. Previously he cofounded of the New African Music Collective, which was been supported by the New York State Foundation for the Arts.
