A Bergen-Lafayette woman died from gunshot wounds this morning in a case of apparent domestic violence.
She had been rushed to Jersey City Medical Center after being shot by the father of her daughter.
According to radio reports, the woman’s 14-year-old daughter heard her parents arguing before the shooting.
Police who responded to the scene indicated that the woman had a faint pulse and that they were rendering aid.
The shooting took place in the victim’s apartment at 340 Bergen Avenue.
The shooter, who is reportedly homeless and lives in his car, drove away. He reportedly called his daughter to apologize for the shooting.
